Cab Off

After some discussion it was decided it would be easier to lift the cab off and send it away to the painters so we could continue with the chassis work.

Engine out.

Today we pulled out the engine and gear box, it is a big heavy combination but wasn't too bad to get out.

Tray off today.

The first thing I did was remove the tray. It is riddled with rust so I will not be using it on my build.

This is the starting point for my 75 Series Landcruiser Ute Build.

I brought the ute from an old guy that had been using it to tow his wife's horse float. It is a 1990 FJ75 with 290,000km on the clock. It has the original 3F petrol motor in it.
My plan is to strip it down and rebuild it with a LS1 V8 engine. Not sure how hard it will be or how much it will cost.
